Introduction to Gerontology    Amsterdam, the Netherlands
This module offers lectures on the history of gerontology, demography, methodology, and presents the basic concepts and theories of ageing and its modern European context.

Psychogerontology    Heidelberg, Germany
The Psycho-gerontology module addresses basic concepts and theories within the psychology of ageing related to cognitive abilities, personality, adaptation and social integration.
Course week: November 16-22, 2008

Social Gerontology    Keele, UK
"Policies and practices for an ageing population." The Social Gerontology module assesses the roles of health and social policy in structuring the lives of older people.
Course week: January 12-16, 2009    

Health Gerontology   Paris, France
This core module focuses on ageing, health and disease issues in public health, as well as on European care policies and services.
Course week: March 30 - April 4, 2009      

EuMaG Summer School France 
This annual course is the last module of the first-year curriculum. Because of its integrative character and special programme, the course usually also attracts many additional participants who want to stay informed of the latest developments in international gerontology. Location of the course differs each year. This year the summer school will be held preceding to the World Congress of Gerontology and Geriatrics of the IAGG, in order to facilitate the visiting of both the summer school and the world congress.
